For years, I was underestimated. I was told my dreams were too big, laughed at when I failed, and eventually I started believing those words myself. Then my life changed when I broke both of my ankles in an accident in the Blue Mountains. During my recovery, I lost more than my mobility I lost my confidence. I spent so much time grieving the woman I thought I could have been that I forgot to appreciate the woman I was becoming.
I wasn't rebuilt alone. The incredible women around me reminded me of my strength when I couldn't see it myself. They believed in me until I could believe in myself again.
That made me realise something: my story isn't just my story; it's the story of women all around the world.
