Our jewellery is made using premium materials, including 18k Gold PVD plating and genuine 925 sterling silver. While our pieces are designed for everyday wear, all jewellery naturally experiences wear over time due to exposure to moisture, air, perfumes, lotions and everyday activities. With the right care, your jewellery will maintain its beauty for years to come.
To help extend the life of your jewellery, we recommend removing it before showering, swimming, exercising or sleeping. Apply perfumes, lotions and skincare products before putting on your jewellery, as chemicals can affect the finish over time. After each wear, gently polish your jewellery using the complimentary jewellery cloth included with every order to remove oils and restore its shine. Store each piece separately in its jewellery pouch or box in a cool, dry place to minimise scratching, tangling and natural oxidation. Avoid dropping your jewellery or allowing it to rub against hard surfaces, as accidental damage is not considered a manufacturing fault.
To clean your jewellery, soak it in warm water with a few drops of mild soap for five to ten minutes. Gently clean detailed areas using a soft baby toothbrush or cotton bud if needed, then rinse thoroughly and dry completely with a soft, lint-free cloth before storing.
Warranty
Femina offers a 12-month warranty against manufacturing faults from the date of purchase with valid proof of purchase. Our warranty covers genuine manufacturing defects only and does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, scratches, dents, misuse, improper care or the natural fading of gold plating through regular use.
Our products also come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major fault and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

Skin discolouration can occur with many types of jewellery, including premium jewellery, and is not harmful. It is usually caused by your individual skin chemistry, perspiration, skincare products or perfumes reacting with the metal. Our jewellery is made using premium 18k Gold PVD plating and genuine 925 sterling silver. Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver combined with strengthening alloys, making it durable enough for everyday wear while maintaining its premium quality.
How can I prevent this?
Keep your jewellery clean and dry, avoid contact with perfumes, lotions and harsh chemicals, remove it before swimming or exercising, and clean it regularly using the care instructions above.
How do I remove green marks from my skin?
Wash the affected area with warm water and soap. If any staining remains, gently wipe the area with makeup remover or rubbing alcohol before washing again.
What is 18k Gold PVD Plating?
Our gold jewellery is finished using premium 18k Gold PVD plating, an advanced vacuum coating process that creates a stronger, more durable finish than traditional gold plating. It offers increased resistance to fading and everyday wear while maintaining the luxurious appearance of solid gold.
What is 925 Sterling Silver?
Our sterling silver collection is crafted from genuine 925 sterling silver, containing 92.5% pure silver. Sterling silver is timeless, durable and designed to last. Like all precious metals, it can naturally oxidise over time, particularly when exposed to moisture and air. Regular polishing with a silver polishing cloth will restore its shine.
Is your jewellery water-resistant?
Our 18k Gold PVD jewellery is designed to better withstand everyday exposure to moisture than standard gold-plated jewellery. However, to preserve its finish and shine, we recommend removing your jewellery before swimming or showering whenever possible. Our sterling silver jewellery is also suitable for everyday wear but should always be dried thoroughly after contact with water to help minimise oxidation.
Is Femina jewellery hypoallergenic?
Yes. Our 18k Gold PVD and 925 sterling silver collections are hypoallergenic and designed for sensitive skin. They are free from common irritants wherever possible, making them comfortable for everyday wear.
